Project Overview:

Tailored Air Limited was appointed to deliver the complete air-conditioning and ventilation installation for a new school facility comprising classrooms, gym facilities and science laboratories across three floors. The project required reliable, efficient HVAC systems capable of maintaining stable internal conditions, supporting excellent

indoor air quality and creating a safe, comfortable learning environment for students and staff.

The installation combined multiple Daikin VRV and split systems with an extensive ventilation solution, all integrated via a Daikin iTouch Manager connected to the building management system (BMS). In addition, dedicated communications room cooling systems were configured in an N+1 duty and standby arrangement to ensure resilience and uninterrupted operation of critical equipment.

Project Scope:

Installation of 3 Daikin VRV systems serving 47 fan coil units (FCUs)
Installation of 2 Daikin twin split systems
Installation of 2 communications room cooling systems configured in N+1 duty/standby operation
Installation of 14 HRU heat recovery ventilation systems
Installation of 9 dirty extract ventilation systems serving specialist areas
Integration of all systems via Daikin iTouch Manager within the BMS panel
Full system installation, coordination and commissioning across three floors

Key Challenges:
